The phrase “Pay It Forward” is used as the opposite of payback: when someone does a good dead for you, instead of paying them back, you “pay it forward” by doing a good deed for someone else.
One good deed might not seem like much, but if everyone did something good for someone else, then the cycle of generosity and kindness can spark us to become better people.

instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up
doing nothing for nobody.”
